Scientists have detected an unusually thick ozone layer at 21-23 km altitude over the North Bay of Bengal, persisting for over a day. The discovery, made during the NetRAD-ASMA campaign, suggests downward transport of ozone-rich air, offering new insights into atmospheric circulation over the Indian subtropical region.
