The Centre has constituted a Multi-Sectoral Central Team to scientifically assess the increasing frequency of cloudbursts, flash floods, landslides, and extreme rainfall in Himachal Pradesh. The team includes experts from NDMA, CBRI, IITM, and IIT Indore, and will recommend long-term measures. Minister Nityanand Rai cited climate change as a contributing factor.
