Astranis announced it is developing Perceptor spacecraft to monitor satellite activity in geostationary orbit (GEO), a region increasingly used for espionage. The probes will use sensors and electric propulsion to assess other satellites and fill awareness gaps. The company cites threats from Russian and Chinese spacecraft as motivation.
