Oil from the grounded tanker Caroline Bezengi has reached Oman's mainland beaches, the country's environment authority said Wednesday. The spill, spreading for weeks, now covers over 2,000 square kilometers and threatens marine reserves and islands. The tanker, carrying nearly 1 million barrels of sanctioned Russian oil, ran aground in June.
