New animal transmission caused Ebola outbreak: study

A new study in Nature Medicine says the Ebola outbreak in the DRC began with a new animal-to-human transmission, not from earlier outbreaks. The virus has killed over 2,000 people, making it the fastest-moving on record. WHO warns it may become the deadliest, with no vaccine for the Bundibugyo strain.
