Sukhbir Badal Attack Accused in Police Custody Till Aug 24

Jaspal Singh, 62, accused of attacking Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal with a dagger at a gurdwara in Nanded, was remanded to police custody until August 24. Badal sustained a 4-5 cm wound on his right forearm; a police officer was also injured. Badal called the attack an attempt to destabilize Punjab and India.
