Erdogan says Egypt could join Turkiye-Saudi-Pakistan defence pact

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Egypt could join the joint defence agreement signed by Turkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, calling Cairo's accession 'possible' and the pact open to new members. The Mecca Pact commits signatories to collective defence, but Islamabad cautions against viewing it as a NATO equivalent.
