Thieves steal Antonello da Messina works in Sicily museum heist

Thieves stole four artworks attributed to Renaissance painter Antonello da Messina from a Sicilian museum during Assumption holiday celebrations, bypassing alarms. The stolen pieces include three panels of the San Gregorio Polyptych and a double-sided panel, valued at up to 80 million euros. Officials called it a devastating loss for the region's heritage.
