Pakistan summons US diplomat over envoy's Kashmir remarks

Pakistan summoned the US Charge d'Affaires in Islamabad to protest US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor's description of Jammu and Kashmir as an 'important part of India' during his first visit to Srinagar. Gor met Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and hinted at reviewing the US travel advisory for the region. Islamabad lodged a formal objection to the remarks.
