Most ships in Hormuz hide identity, data shows

Maritime data shows most vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz are turning off their transponders to mask their routes, with more ships openly using the Iranian route than the Omani one. Of 236 ships tracked between August 1-19, 148 went dark, while 83 used the Iranian route and only three used the Omani route.
