Over 200,000 displaced in Sudan's Kordofan as fighting rages

The UN reports that more than 200,000 people have been newly displaced in Sudan's Kordofan region due to intensified fighting since late last year. Drone attacks on infrastructure in El Obeid have cut power and water, worsening the crisis. Seasonal flooding in North Darfur has compounded the displacement, with 8.6 million internally displaced nationwide.
