China is set to launch its Chang'e-7 mission, possibly as early as Monday, to search for water ice in the moon's permanently shadowed south pole craters. The mission includes a hopper designed to jump into deep craters, a first for lunar exploration. Finding accessible water could support future crewed missions and fuel production.
