Blood eosinophil count (BEC) consistently predicted type 2 chronic rhinosinusitis (T2 CRS) regardless of allergic sensitisation, with optimal cut-offs around 220–230/µL. Serum total IgE showed limited diagnostic value, especially in non-allergic patients. The findings suggest BEC may serve as a reliable surrogate marker for tissue eosinophilia.
