Majority of bills passed in same session, PRS data shows

More than half of the bills introduced in the 18th Lok Sabha have been passed in the same session, a trend that has accelerated recently. Of 64 bills introduced, 34 were passed in the session of introduction, compared to 33% in the 16th Lok Sabha. The Monsoon Session saw 11 of 12 bills passed, with nine cleared without debate.
