NHRC seeks report on bribe allegation against Punjab CM's wife

The NHRC has sought an action-taken report from Punjab's chief secretary and DGP within two weeks over allegations that CM Bhagwant Mann's wife, Gurpreet Kaur, sought Rs 5 crore to suppress a rape case. SAD MP Harsimrat Badal called the allegations serious. Gurpreet Kaur has sent a legal notice to former judge Ranjit Singh, who filed the complaint.
