Miami Beach sinks concrete cars to create coral habitat

Miami Beach has sunk 22 concrete cars 20 feet underwater as part of the REEFLINE project, creating an artificial reef to support 2,200 corals and marine life. The installation, designed by artist Leandro Erlich, also aims to protect the shoreline from storm surge and boost tourism. The project cost $5 million, with additional funding sought for future sculptures.
