Mamata Moves Supreme Court Over TMC Name, Symbol Freeze

Mamata Banerjee has challenged in the Supreme Court the Election Commission's decision to freeze the Trinamool Congress name and its 'Jora Ghash Phul' symbol amid a factional dispute. The EC allotted separate names and symbols to rival groups for the October 6 bypolls in Nandigram and Rejinagar. Banerjee's faction will contest as 'Mamata All India Trinamool Congress' with the 'Football Player' symbol.
