Gaza actors stage war they still live through

Palestinian actors in Gaza are performing "50 Minutes in Gaza," a play drawn from their own experiences of siege and loss, staged in a makeshift tent at the damaged Rashad al-Shawa Cultural Centre. Director Ali Abu Yasin, a 37-year veteran, launched the project in April 2026; cast member Abu Qasai Qaddoura, displaced and living under a plastic tarp, plays a doctor forced to amputate his own child's leg.
