NGT ruled for no green group in 16 merit appeals

A SAREL analysis of 119 appeals filed at the NGT's five benches between January and June found environmental and public-interest parties won none of the 16 merit appeals they brought, while industry, project proponents and property owners won 30 of 51. Forty-four per cent of appeals were dismissed on technical grounds without a merits ruling.
