The Federation of Indian Pilots has asked the AAIB to conduct a comprehensive assessment of Boeing 787 electrical system evidence in the Air India AI171 crash investigation. The June 12, 2025, crash in Ahmedabad killed 260 people. The request follows concerns raised by the US-based Foundation for Aviation Safety over the lack of interim safety recommendations for the 787 fleet.
