Three Harvard students have won the 2026 US James Dyson Award for Rumble Rims, a low-cost infrared headset that screens athletes for possible concussions in about 60 seconds. The device uses eye-tracking to help coaches decide if an athlete should be removed from play, though it is not a diagnostic tool. The $6,500 prize will fund further development.
