India tests first indigenous 1,000-km attack drone KAL

India's first indigenous long-range attack drone, KAL, was successfully flight-tested at the Pokhran range in Rajasthan. Developed by Noida-based IG Defence, the vehicle-launched drone has a 1,000-km range, seven-to-eight-hour endurance and a 50-kg payload. The trial validated its airframe, propulsion, avionics and navigation systems, marking a milestone in India's unmanned strike capability.
