Hundreds of thousands of children in Gaza returned to in-person schooling on Saturday for the first time in nearly three years, many studying in damaged buildings or tents. UNICEF says 98% of schools were destroyed or damaged in the war, and about 660,000 students had been deprived of regular education. Uniforms, notebooks and pens remain unaffordable for many families.
