Google Proposes Direct CSAM Reporting to India's I4C

Google has proposed sharing child sexual abuse material cases directly with India's Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre, following Meta's similar move last week. The proposal aims to shorten the current reporting chain routed through the US-based National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, which Indian officials say can delay police action. Google is coordinating with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and I4C to operationalise the mechanism.
