The Reserve Bank of India could soon issue a fresh communique mandating an early listing of Tata Sons, aiming to remove ambiguity in its earlier directive. The holding company's board met on September 17 to discuss the RBI-mandated listing and Chairman N Chandrasekaran's reappointment, backing both items except for Tata Trusts nominee Noel Tata. Tata Trusts, which holds 66 percent, opposes listing, while Shapoorji Pallonji group supports it.
