The Visegrad Group—Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic—has collectively backed India's push for a permanent UN Security Council seat. The support came during the first V4-India meeting in New York on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly. Slovakia's Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár said India, as an upcoming superpower, must be at the table as a permanent member.
