Assam Congress seeks Nagaon DEO removal over convoy attack

The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee has written to the Election Commission, demanding the removal of the Nagaon District Election Officer over a September 21 attack on its convoy at Borma Bazar during the Nagaon Lok Sabha by-election campaign. Congress says the administration ignored advance warnings and downplayed the violence, which injured two leaders.
