US to Ask Supreme Court to Allow Third-Country Deportations

The Trump administration will ask the Supreme Court to permit deporting immigrants to countries other than their own, Attorney General Todd Blanche said Thursday. The move follows a Boston appeals court ruling that upheld a lower court decision declaring the policy unlawful. The administration has already deported over 25,000 migrants to at least 29 third countries, including high-risk nations like South Sudan and the Central African Republic.
