Senior IAS officer Mandeep K Bhandari has been appointed as the new CBSE chairman, following a central bureaucratic reshuffle. The 2001-batch AGMUT cadre officer, currently Principal Secretary to the Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, takes charge after the board faced criticism over its On-Screen Marking system, which drew complaints of technical glitches and scanned answer-sheet discrepancies.
