AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi has urged the Communications Ministry to withdraw a proposal downgrading Hyderabad GPO from Group 'A' to Group 'B' and merging it with Hyderabad City Division. In a letter to Minister of State Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, he cited the century-old office's historical significance, workload and the Philatelic Bureau housed there.
