A 1787 Thomas Jefferson letter offering prescient advice on peace, debt and agriculture has been put up for sale by the Raab Collection for a guide price of $285,000. Written in Paris to scientist David Rittenhouse, it warns against missteps the dealer says echo today's US politics. The letter was previously displayed at Texas A&M University.
