South African police are hunting suspects after two separate shootings killed 27 people within hours of each other. Seventeen were killed at a tavern near Johannesburg and ten in a shooting near Cape Town. No arrests have been made and motives remain unknown, amid rampant gang violence and organised crime ahead of November local elections.
