At least 27 people were killed and more than 20 wounded in two shootings in South African townships over the weekend. Seventeen died at a tavern in Wedela, southwest of Johannesburg, where police are hunting eight suspects. Ten more were killed at a store in Lwandle near Cape Town. The attacks follow a Durban party shooting that killed 11.
