Iraq Seeks Oil Export Routes as Hormuz Blockade Bites

Iraq is scrambling for alternatives to the blocked Strait of Hormuz, losing $60bn in oil revenue since the US-Iran war began. Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi told the UN that about 90 percent of Gulf oil exports are cut off, straining a budget dependent on oil. Plans include the Iraq-Turkiye Pipeline and new routes via Jordan and Syria.
