High-Dose Vitamin D Tied to Better Cognition in At-Risk Older Adults

A small Emory University study found that older adults with mild cognitive impairment and sleep problems who took 5,000 IU or more of vitamin D daily scored higher on a standard cognitive test than those taking none. The form of vitamin D made no difference. Researchers say this group may represent a critical window for intervention.
