Newsom signs law banning shock gloves for officers

California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a law banning local, state and federal officers from using gloves that deliver electric shocks, effective next year through 2030. The move follows ICE's $17 million contract for 6,000 pairs of the gloves and is the latest Democratic pushback against Trump's immigration enforcement. Courts may ultimately strike down the ban.
