Margaret Owen, a 94-year-old human rights barrister, was arrested in Liverpool at a rally outside the Labour Party conference for supporting Palestine Action, a group banned under UK terrorism laws. She had sought arrest for months. Merseyside Police detained 82 people at the protest. Owen, who received an OBE in 2013, said she was proud to join the civil disobedience campaign.
