Eight Class XI and XII students from Winners Academy in Alandi, Pune, drowned at Diveagar beach in Raigad district on Thursday after being swept away by the sea during a picnic. All bodies were recovered. The group of 48, including 25 boys, 17 girls, and six teachers, was at the beach under Dighi Coastal Police Station. Police are investigating the incident.
