Amnesty International says Morocco's DGST intelligence agency ran an unlawful surveillance operation against journalists and rights defenders, using Pegasus spyware, hidden microphones and pre-infected phones. A report based on whistleblower testimony and leaked documents says 103 Moroccan phone numbers were entered into the Pegasus system in late 2017. Rabat has repeatedly denied using spyware against its citizens.
