Opposition Protests Target Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar

Opposition parties and civil society groups protested in Delhi and Mumbai on Friday against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision exercise. BRS leader V Srinivas Goud questioned the Election Commission's independence, while Delhi Police imposed prohibitory restrictions and closed 11 metro stations. The INDIA bloc plans further protests on October 6 and a Delhi rally on November 1.
