Bangkok has declared a flood disaster across all 50 districts after roughly 300mm of rain fell in about two days, killing about 40 people and displacing thousands into more than 230 shelters. Flooding disrupted Suvarnabhumi airport, closed schools and gridlocked the capital. The prime minister warned the city remains at risk from northern runoff, with more heavy rain forecast.
