Climate Change Tied to Skin Disease Shifts in 42.6% of Countries

A global study presented at EADV Congress 2026 found climate-related changes in skin disease across 42.6% of 136 countries surveyed. Lower-income nations reported the highest impact, with 55.6% of low-income countries affected versus 28.3% of high-income countries. Heat rashes, inflammatory conditions, and infectious diseases were most commonly reported, prompting calls for stronger surveillance and locally tailored climate-health strategies.
