Ultra-Low-Dose Induction Aids Severe Nut Allergy OIT

A small observational study suggests ultra-low-dose induction can help children with severe peanut or walnut allergies transition to conventional oral immunotherapy. Among 21 children, most tolerated milligram-level allergen powder, with median transition times of 16 months for peanut and 8 months for walnut. Reactions were rare and mild; no adrenaline was needed. Researchers call for further study.
