EPF Wage Ceiling Raised to Rs 25,000, EPS Impact Explained

The Union Cabinet has raised the mandatory EPF wage ceiling from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 per month, effective September 17, 2026. This expands EPS and EDLI coverage to employees earning up to Rs 25,000. Those previously outside EPS must now enroll, while higher earners' EPS participation depends on past contributions.
