Two self-funded Farmer Clusters in southern England have recorded major wildlife gains over a decade of coordinated conservation on working farmland. At Martin Down, corn buntings rose 346% and butterfly abundance 183%, while grey partridges at Allenford climbed 271%. The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust, which developed the model in 2012, says connecting habitats across farm boundaries is driving the recovery.
