Jaishankar: India-US Trade Pact to Boost Economy

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said a India-US trade agreement will strengthen the economy, calling Washington a major economic, trade and defence partner. Speaking at the Kautilya Economic Conclave, he said recent pacts with the EU, UK and EFTA would balance India's trade ties. He called attacks on civilian shipping unacceptable and said India is in talks with Russia and Ukraine over safe Black Sea grain and fuel passage.
