Zimbabwe is in talks with NPCI International Payments to adopt India's Unified Payments Interface as shared infrastructure, with a deal possible by October 31, central bank Governor John Mushayavanhu told Bloomberg. The system would let banks, mobile-money operators and fintechs process real-time transactions, cutting costs and reducing reliance on cards and cash.
