US Withdraws B-1 Bombers from RAF Fairford After Threat

The Pentagon confirmed on Sunday it removed about a dozen B-1 bombers from RAF Fairford back to the US. US media reported a new threat prompted the withdrawal, following a major incident on 27 September when police were alerted to three suspicious vehicles near the base. A No 10 spokesperson declined to comment on foreign military operations but said the base was safe.
