France braces for national school protests after boy loses hand

France is bracing for a national day of school protests and blockades on Tuesday after a 15-year-old boy lost his hand outside a high school in Lens. A 16-year-old in Tours also lost sight in one eye. Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu has accepted students' grievances as legitimate and ordered ministers to address their five demands by month's end.
