SP drops third Rajya Sabha candidate in Uttar Pradesh

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has decided not to field a third candidate for Uttar Pradesh's Rajya Sabha elections, leaving the BJP's eight nominees and the SP's two to enter the Upper House unopposed. Yadav said the party's focus is now on the 403-seat state assembly and the 2027 election.
